Grace Kagoro-Rugunda is an Associate Professor of Natural Resources’ Ecology and Environmental Management in the Department of Biological Sciences, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda.
Her MSc and PhD degrees are in . She obtained a postdoctoral fellowship in chemical ecology from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research in conjunction with the University of Hamburg, Germany. Her fifteen-year research career has been focused on climate change, community-based environmental management, agri-ecology, and natural resources’ management.
Kagoro has coordinated both national and international-funded research projects where research partners from many countries participated, mainly in the subject area of climate and environmental changes and hazards, reducing postharvest losses, and adding value to East African foods, with specific emphasis on agri-ecology, postharvest handling, and citizen science. She has over 30 publications and serves advisory roles to the National Agricultural Research Organization and the Regional Network for Conservation Educators of the Albertine Rift in Uganda.
