Dr. Brenda Ainomugisha, is a urogyn fellow in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and a PhD scholar on sub-project 4. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (2011) and a Master of Medicine specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2021) from MUST. Her research focuses on geospatial analysis of maternal near misses and the effect of provider training and patient tele counseling on elective cesarean delivery in Southwestern Uganda. Brenda will have short stays at the UZ GENT during her PhD training. She is supervised by Dr. Joseph Ngonzi (MUST) and Prof. Dr. Kristien Roelens (UZ GENT). Brenda is grateful to be part of the UCoBS project and she is looking forward to the growth, learning, knowledge sharing, and community impact through her PhD research project.
