MUST IUC – UCoBS Sub project 5, focusing on increased employability through skilling, innovation, experiential learning, and technology transfer, joined forces with BrighterMonday Uganda in partnership with Mastercard Foundation to deliver a highly impactful Career Skills Bootcamp at Mbarara University of Science & Technology on 25th September 2025 , Kihumuro campus, equipping students with practical tools for their career journeys.

The bootcamp attracted over 550 students from various faculties of Mbarara University of Science & Technology, reflecting the strong interest and commitment of our students to advancing their career readiness. The bootcamp covered a Career Skills Masterclass that explored employability skills, job search strategies, and interview preparation techniques.

Participants engaged in hands-on practical sessions where they created and optimized BrighterMonday accounts, registered on the AI Career Tool, explored its dashboard, generated AI-powered CVs and tailored cover letters, and simulated interview and salary negotiation scenarios.This initiative, made possible through our valued partnership with BrighterMonday Uganda and the Mastercard Foundation, represents a significant step toward our mission of enhancing youth employability through skilling, experiential learning, and technology transfer.
