Overview of the Gender and ICT initiative

Gender and ICT is a subgroup of sub project 6. It was created to harness ICTs for advancement of women and to strengthen Communication about gender equality issues and mainstreaming, both in and outside Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Mentorship

Become a mentor. With a few hours of time per year, you can help shape, educate, and prepare the next generation of career women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). You can help close the gap, and you might even help launch the career of someone who never pictured themselves in this industry.

Here’s what the average mentee will expect of you:

  • 1-2 hours of your time per month
  • Some communication every so often
  • A willing attitude

Scholarship opportunities

DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2025-26 in Germany

The fully funded scholarship for international students is open to study master’s, MBA, LLM, MPhil, and Ph.D. degree programs in German state-recognized institutes/universities and, in some rare cases, to take a doctoral degree.
