Ainomujuni Junior is a tourism officer at Kyotera District Local Government, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in tourism (Makerere University) and a Master’s of Art in Development Studies (Mbarara University). She is currently a PhD scholar at Mbarara University under sub-project one, which focuses on improved conservation practices, environmental restoration, and natural resource governance in south-western Uganda. Her PhD title is “Linking Governance Principles as Conservation Trade-offs for Management of Lake Mburo and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks.”. Junior will be supervised by Dr. Medard Twinamatsiko, Prof. Grace Kagoro from Mbarara University, and Prof. Stefaan Smis from VUB in Belgium. She will have short stays at VUB in Belgium during her training.
