MUST IUC-UCoBS (subproject 5) will conduct a five-day Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Ruharo Vocational Training Institute from November 17th to 21st, 2025. This training is part of ongoing efforts to enhance youth employability through experiential learning, innovation, and industry-driven skilling.
The bootcamp will bring together 45 participants, primarily targeting Year One and Year Two students of Ruharo Vocational Training Institute. The sessions are designed to equip young people with foundational entrepreneurial skills and inspire innovative thinking that aligns with both local and global market needs. Participants will gain hands-on experience through a structured program that emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Over the five days, the training will focus on key thematic areas, including entrepreneurial fundamentals, idea generation, the 50,000 UGX challenge, design thinking, prototyping, and pitch preparation.
Each of these modules is intended to strengthen participants’ capacity to turn ideas into viable business solutions while fostering a culture of innovation and self-reliance.
At the end of the bootcamp, participants will be grouped to form an Entrepreneurship Club at Ruharo Vocational Training Institute. This club will act as a continuous learning and innovation hub where students can refine their ideas, collaborate with peers, and prepare for the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Level 2.
The bootcamp also contributes to the broader goal of operationalizing the Industrial Technology Competence Hub (ITH) at MUST, which seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry. By fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and providing practical exposure, the initiative prepares students for employment, apprenticeships, and business creation. Coverage of the training will be provided by Kreative Campus under Kreative Media, a youth-led enterprise committed to supporting digital skilling and storytelling for UCoBS activities.
