Appreciations

Participants commended the support provided by the project, specifically the TV screen, BP machines, and fetal dopplers. These items have enhanced patient care, improved maternal and adolescent health services, and strengthened health education within the facility.

Planned Activities and Way Forward

Key activities identified for continuation include: Equipping the health facility further with critical medical equipment and supplies to improve service delivery and meet the growing community health needs. Supporting out-of-school adolescents through targeted programs that build their skills, empower them socially and economically, and improve their access to health information and services. Developing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Bundibugyo General Hospital, local leadership, and the project team to formalise and strengthen collaboration for sustainability.

 Recommendations

Participants urged the project to continue:

– Providing practical support to the health facility to address gaps in medical equipment and service delivery.

– Partnering with local leaders to reach out-of-school adolescents with skilling and empowerment programs, addressing both social and health challenges faced by young people in Bundibugyo District.
